Stéphane Bern welcomed at the Academy to the sound of the hunting horn

The FRTM was asked to provide musical accompaniment to the solemn opening session of the Académie de Versailles et d'Île-de-France, whose speaker this year was Stéphane Bern.
At this event, Stéphane Bern had a conversation with Claire Bommelaere about heritage, in the superb setting of the former royal hospital’s chapel, designed by J-F. Darnaudin.
This conversation was punctuated by horn calls, fanfares and songs performed by a quintet of horn champions, led by Nicolas Dromer.
Dromer specially composed a “Master fanfare for hunting horns dedicated to Mr Stéphane Bern, historian”, La Stéphane Bern, a framed copy of which was handed to the speaker at the end of the session.
