11 November: “90th anniversary of the Rekindling of the Flame” under the Arc de Triomphe

On 11 November 1923, the Sacred Flame was lit for the first time under the Arc de Triomphe. Since then, it has been rekindled every evening in homage to the Unknown Soldier and all the soldiers who have died to defend France, and to express the hope for a world at peace.
On the occasion of this eternal Flame’s 90th anniversary, former military governor of Paris and President of the Flame Committee Army General Bruno Dary asked the Fondation pour le Rayonnement de la Trompe Musicale to contribute to the exceptional torchlight ceremony.
