As part of the 2013 European Heritage Days and with the support of the Fondation François Sommer pour la Chasse et la Nature, the Fondation pour le Rayonnement de la Trompe Musicale and the Musée de l'Armée jointly presented a scientific and musical programme.

“The acoustics of the horn” by René Caussé, researcher at IRCAM, with the participation of Hubert Heinrich, musical director of the Rallye Trompes des Vosges
“Hunting horn and French horn makers: the Raoux dynasty”, by Thierry Maniguet, curator at the Musée de la Musique de la Villette, with the participation of Yannick Bureau, director of the horn manufacturer Perinet.

“The horn in the visual arts” by Florence Getreau, senior researcher at the CNRS
“The place of the horn in scholarly publications for hunters”  by Raphael Abrille, assistant curator of the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, Paris, with the participation of hunter and hornist Xavier Legendre 
“Sociétés de sonneurs et Sociétés de veneurs” by Jean-Pierre Chaline, professor emeritus at the University of Paris-Sorbonne, with the participation of Pierre de Rouälle, president of the Société de Vénerie and Antoine de La Rochefoucauld, president of the Fédération Internationale des Trompes de France

Closing speech: Christine Helfrich, chief curator of heritage, head of the Musée de l'Armée’s department of cultural action and music.
