Hunting horn & organ concert
by the Rallye Atlantique
conference “Dagobert, Saint-Denis and Hunting”
by Jean-Michel Leniaud

Saturday October 8 at 7 p.m., the high vaults of the Saint-Denis Basilica, which houses the tombs of the kings of France, will resound with the sound of hunting horns. The Rallye Atlantique is preparing a great concert for us under the direction of Nicolas Dromer, its artistic director.

The Suite de Chasse by Hubert Heinrich and the Suite de Chasse by Sylvain Oudot will be sounded, two great compositions from the contemporary trumpet repertoire.
These Suites make remarkable use of all the resources of the instrument and its strictly musical qualities: calls, echo effects, chimes, muffled notes, the search for new sounds, alternation of power and restraint...
Organized by the Center des Monuments Nationaux, the Memorial of France in Saint-Denys and the Institut de la Maison de Bourbon, this concert, which benefits from the support of the Fondation pour le Rayonnement de la Trompe Musicale (FRTM), will be preceded by a lecture by Jean-Michel Leniaud, former director of the Ecole Nationale des Chartes, member of the Board of Directors of the FRTM, on Dagobert, Saint-Denis and hunting.
