HUNTING HORNS CONCERT

Grand concert of hunting horns by the Débuché de Paris and the Rallye Trompes des Vosges at the Manège Royal de Versailles, in partnership with the Chateau de Versailles and the Académie Nationale Équestre du domaine de Versailles.

During this concert organized to accompany the exhibition “Fêtes et divertissements à la Cour” (“celebrations and entertainment at the Court”), the Débuché de Paris and the Rallye Trompes des Vosges performed, conducted respectively by Sylvain Oudot, and by Christian Conte. 
These two leading ensembles performed a programme highlighting the full range of the horn’s instrumental richness: as an instrument for churches, hunts, grand ensembles and entertainment. 
Original pieces by Sylvain Oudot and Christian Conte were alternated with pieces from the classical repertoire for the French horn and traditional pieces for groups of hornists.
